What element weapon/artifact to equip?
Do I equip the element the cultivator uses, or the supporting element for the weapon/artifact?

What I read before (in a guide) is that is should be the same as the cultivator or the one it feeds (so if you have fire law, get a Fire weapon and/or artifact or an Earth weapon/artifact)

More specifically it states

"If you rolled one of your starting outers as a good crafter (ie: with a crafting score over 50), have them craft a few weapons of your choice, from material of the same element as your law or the element that your law feeds (ie: fire law, earth weapon to refine) until you get a divine grade weapon. Artifact element IS important, physical weapon element importance is less quantifiable. Equip the weapon to your first inner. "

Judging by how everything works in this game I would assume the element your law feeds into gives a bigger bonus.

I wonder if it can be beneficial to have artifact of element that feeds your inner element if you have spell casting school, when artifact itself is less important. I did not check it nor I see anything about that in any guide but it sort of make sense in a way.

It only matters for artifact, not weapon. For artifact you can see in-game by equipping the artifact and hovering over it on the equip screen. It will say comparable if same element and compatible (forgot exact wording) if your element feeds it. I have not tested the artifact feeding you so feel free to equip one and see what the game says about the artifact.

Connective is the word. It's interesting because when it comes to manuals, both feeding you and being fed by you are "connective" and cost less attainment. But for the artifact the feeding element doesn't say anything.

That's because your artifact doesn't support you, you support your artifact one-sidedly. If it doesn't feed from your element, then it's not going to get a bonus.
