adventure is much quicker later on for just a one time thing, your fly speed lets you get there almost intently, when your pre golden core camping is more useful

Camping is infinite. Thing is I think they have the same event rate (2 days) so camping is more convenient and you can enter the map later if you want. Maybe theres a slight different otherwise.

well my fastest cultivator can get to and back a few times in 1 day so i get way more events

To specify, I meant for repeating adventures vs camping since thats what the OP asked about. Naturally single adventures are could be an exception. (edit: re-re-clarified)

i actually didnt know there was a difference between doing a single one and staying multiple days. i just assumed it triggered an event at the same rate for both

What I know is limited to: that the rate is the same between repeating adventure and camping as the game says so. I haven't specifically tested single adventure but I was simply assuming that he knew what he was saying if he runs single adventures. To be honest, quoting my clarification puts me in an awkward spot reclarifying my clarification. I guess I was a little too vague.

So basically adventure is better unless there's a set event or you want to recruit, because you'll get random events and resources from it rather than waiting days between each?

Well, the disciple still has to move.
And you have to send him every time.

There's a talisman that increases adventuring movement speed, as well as some abilities (they're in the Sunflower Law tree). Also, you can choose to just send them out on adventures forever until cancelled. They'll come back and hang out for a second, maybe cultivate or relax depending on what you assigned them (which you can just cancel and they'll immediately head back out).

My experience is that a boosted adventuring Inner always gets a lot more events than a camping one. However, it might be camping works off of the event frequency setting at world creation (which I have set lower since it gets annoying). So that's something that would need to be clarified by someone else.
