how the ♥♥♥♥ do you get your people to attack intruders this is so frustrating that it ruins the game....

I never had a problem with assaults, you can also teach your pet to attack enemies always, you should not have problems, the game is really simple in that aspect, for me it works well, although the only thing that bothers me is that I cannot change the objective of my attack even if I order it, but besides that, the rest works perfect for me

Im following the basic guides but i have no idea how to tell if my rooms are very auspicious. i made the rooms just like the guide. Is it because i dont have a sect yet?

You need to build a sect. And then build an Observatory which will tell you the Feng Shui of rooms.
