Are there faster ways to fill the inner cauldron
Playing the english beta. So I'm at the core forming phase and could break through to golden core. However the inner cauldron is empty with 191/ 4230 and fills up very very slowly. With some Qi boosting manuals I'm looking at 5900 Qi which will probably lead to a lvl 4 or 5 golden core.

I understand it is probably meant to be that way so that the longer you wait at this stage the higher the reward.Am I missing something essential here? I'm taking stamina pills and am basically cultivating night and day. But at this speed it'll probably take several game years to fill up. Am I doing it wrong? Is there anything to speed it up?

Inner cauldron is meant to take that long in early to mid game.
Late game once you have access and resources to dabble with spirit trees for your inner disciples to cultivate at, you'll fill up the refined qi super quick, together with talismans and sect branch mechanics.

I usually don't bother with the Inner cauldron and just rush my sect to late game so i can get spirit trees and other advance resources to start building strong cultivators. The cultivators that were used as stepping stones, you can always revert them back to mortals and recultivate them to fill up their Inner cauldron.

As for trying to get higher grade golden core in early game, its actually pretty easy.
You don't need crazy high qi pool. A decent amount is enough. You can consider getting +max qi, +qi attune & +stats skills from other Cultivation Laws and also eat +qi consumables like earth flux, evil flux, red ginseng, purple lingzhi etc. Breakthrough conditions are also extremely important, you'd want to have optimal season, timing, cultivation harmony, weather, fengshui, qi density etc. You can jump from a grade 4 to a grade 1 with perfect breakthrough conditions compared to suboptimal ones. Don't rely on Inner Cauldron.

Ok thanks for confirming that.

Yea considered that option. Didn't wait in my last game but thought it would gimp their Qi pool in the long run.

Yes I know but best I achieved was level 2 with around 6500 Qi and the min-maxer in me can't live with that.

Haha, min-max only comes in late game or you can just use/create reincarnations.
Just like cRPGs, min-max means you don't use companion NPCs with chaotic stat distribution, you'd want to create a custom character, so reincarnations is your go to.

The real min-max game in ACS is deep and insane. Normally, players aim for 7k to 30k qi at core shaping, the true min-maxers aim for 3-4million qi at core shaping.

Even without spirit tress, its possible to create an lvl 1 gc. You just need some other manuals, a good breakthrough room and some weather change speels as well as the correct season and mind level. If the cult has ~10k qi, they have a good chance for a lvl 1 core. with 9k qi you can still get it, but you need to compensate it with e.g. qi regeneration.

That's all nice and dandy but some things you're saying here don't apply to the first disciple to get golden core. First of all 10k is impossible with only the basic manuals and weather spells are golden core so you need a golden core first for that. Your estimate of 10k or 9k is way too high, I reached level 2 with 6k without helping weather. So 7k is most likely enough.

It also depends on the qi sense of the cultivator. In my newest game, i had a cult with high qi sense, who became my first gc in the end. As i usually start with a looter, i picked the fire basic law and got her to ~9k qi. As i didnt have any additional laws at that time, naturally, she only became a 2nd level core, but that in itself shows, that more is possible with some additional laws. I also advocat to pay attention to getting 1st cores after having a nascent soul cult, so that you can a) change the weather (there are also some pre gc skills for that btw) and b) change the attributes of your outer disciples, so that they fit their law as cults better
