What's your opinion on Asterisk?

When it comes to main characters in harem games/shows they usually have the main character overpowered (and in some cases the MC himself is actually a wuss) or some normal pervy guy that every girl seems to fall for. Whats your take on Aster and do you think that he's any different than your generic harem protagonist?

He's got the perv aspect, obviously. But he's not exactly normal. I couldn't tell you how typical he is as a MC, though.

I don't feel that Aster is really any different, but I do feel like he is just the worst piece of ♥♥♥♥ in the game. I actually just started rooting for the bad guys towards the end because they actually ended up doing something good for humanity in the game. Aster on the other hand freaking rapes 4 people and black mails another one into sex only doing so once he realises that he won't recieve devine punishment during those times all the while presenting himself as the hero of the story and a moraly right individual who says that he won't have sex with someone who doesn't want it, but again he rapes 4 people, man just ♥♥♥♥ Aster.

Sometimes he's okay, other times he's so godamn cringey and gets away with way too much. I wish I could press a button to give him an actual filter for his mouth.

I'm not sure how often he has sex, but he sounds sex starved most of the time even still.

Maybe you haven't seen the scenes where he prays. Praying to Mother Eve apparently purges desires and bad thoughts, but Aster's lust never goes away no matter how often he prays. And that's on top of having sex very frequently, according to him. As for the cringey comments, he's a typical idiotic protagonist in that regard. ...Well, maybe more idiotic than usual.

i feel is one of the better ones(really LEAGUES ahead of normal harem MCs).

guy is honest and knows what he wants and even then the guy has 3 dimensions, such as but not limited to, there are times he DOES'NT want sex (le gasp!).

that and his interactions with his relationships is endearing even the crude ones
but still a joy to witness every one of them.

and for those reasons i just cant help but root for him, what you see is what you get.

but i wont be blind and say he does not have his faults(sometimes i do want to body slam the man through the earth) because he does...yeah xD

Which 4 did he rapes and who did he blackmail? I'm curious because I know the circumstance for some of his "marriages" is sketchy as hell, but I don't remember him outright raping anyone in the game.

been awhile but if I remember correctly he raped the dragon lady who was working for snake crest, raped the green haired rape victim when she was caught by hannies, raped the campaign lady when she was under mind control by her sister's ghost, blackmailed the priestess Burst who kept telling him very clearly that she didn't want that D only doing so because he would have told the rest of the church that she wasn't doing her job, might be missing some others

I thought the hannie part was really bad since when he found her in the situation that he was in he immediately stuck his D inside her without a second thought and continued once he realized that his D was a hannie and he wouldn't be punished because of it, because I guess that just doesn't count then

note that the hannie and burst parts are side quests so you could have missed them

Dragon lady and Hannies part, I haven't got to yet. Burst and campaign lady, I agree. The way Burst part happen was really uncomfortable to watch. As for the campaign lady, granted everything turned out well in the end, I always thought "there HAS to be a different way to convinced her to live on without banging her right there and then".

Asty is a bit pervy. As with both men and women. Women are just a bit more guardedly reserved, but he is a strongly confident personage. His analysis of situations are good, and he truly cares for his wives. Unlike some whom consider multiple 'wives' as something wasteful. I wish there was a Futa or Herm option at character start. Creators...You know the field. Futa/Herm, and other are emerging as solid sexual references. PLEASE incorporate such things in your games. Its not hard to do, really.

All the reasons for why some of the sex had to occur were so hilarious I busted out laughing more often than not. like getting the holy water ingredient is where I cracked up the most.

I honestly like him and how he's integrated into the story. In a lot of other settings I'd be annoyed with him, but in a world like this, he's like a shining beacon.

Let me explain.

Ramius and Riche, for example, were two women whose families doubted they'd ever marry. They felt ostracised, like they had to go it alone, with Ramius even resigning herself to the title of loner knight and that she was cursed to get her allies hurt. With everyone else purging their desires in church and trying to live sterilised lives, Aster was honest with himself and them, making them feel wanted and accepted for the first time. One might argue that they'd have eventually married someone else, but it's Aster's blunt forwardness that really won them over and made them happy, something it seems is largely unique to Aster, in this setting.

If being a pervert was an inherently bad thing, the human race would have died off millennia ago. Aster's able to largely keep on the right path despite the fact that he loves chasing skirts more than chasing bad guys. He cares about peoples' well being and wants to stop them from being hurt. That's admirable.

Don't get me wrong, he has his severe cringe moments and sometimes goes too far and I do wish that his wives were a bit more willing to grab him by the ear and get him to behave on occasion. But overall, I honestly kind of find Aster... relatable. He wants to be a good person and sometimes stumbles, makes mistakes, or goes too far in his own selfishness... but everyone has those missteps.

1) Good Psychological assessment overall, from your original post.
2) There is a point where they do put their foot down, interestingly enough, its vs. the typical Kalars seduction (although there is no stopping the Queen (the 2nd time)).
3) This game has a good 'humane' feel to it. Which is why I like playing it.

As for burst in their universe that was her job in order to release his penr up lust that his sisters basically forced him to have.

As for the snake crest woman dragon god told him to.do it if i remember also she did try to kill him and everyone else so fair punishment.

No they are not futa is the niche of the niche in hentai...... To put it in perspective on nhentai out of 10500 doujins less then 800 pages are futa. Loli has nearly 2300 (and about 100 pages of them are futa cause loli with massive peni are a niche in loli) and in japan is considered niche but still will get a token char as a love interest in every game. When you have less then a third of a following as loli which if you buy loli porn in japan you get strange looks then yea you may get a couple of futa vns a year but unless it get fan translated..... It aint coming westward and they sure as ♥♥♥♥ aint spending time or money to add ♥♥♥♥ for a western release for something that in the west is a niche within a niche that is within a niche. (Futa - VN - Anime all 3 niches)
