Rance VI + Rance 5D got banned from Steam

Rance VI already sold well enough to warrant not only a hardcopy, but to spark the current AliceSoft announcements. Evenicle didn't do much worse, it'll probably have a hardcopy announcement this year. Evenicle 2 placing as well as it did on the licensing survey only heightens the chance of it being announced.

Now whether it'll release on Steam or not, that's entirely up to chance. It costs like 100$ to try and release it on Steam. If Valve betters or worsen their service by the time it'd actually release in English, who knows. So that's entirely up to fate.

Ever since the 'we are not the taste police' policy came into place, Steam has banned so many anime games - some not even containing sexually explicit content and those would have most definitely been allowed before the policy change...
It got so much worse.
All the interesting VNs/games are getting banned.
Only gay/furry VNs and low effort puzzle trash games get through.
For the gay/furry games it doesn't even matter if they feature underage male characters and r*pe etc. While VNs for straight male audience get banned for being set in college.
It's just blatant hypocrisy and sexism from the people working at Steam.

That's hilarious because Evenicle is FAR more egregious than 90% of the content found in the Rance series. If they were consistent, Evenicle would be removed as well.

Why did they even bother setting up all the hidden adult games and the settings necessary to see them if they're just not going to allow the games ultimately?

It seems like Steam don't care as long they are #1. Hopefully Epic will surpass them one day, but I doubt that. And I don't see any other publisher surpassing Steam in the next 5 years at least.
