Super game! Have played over 100 hours. I don't have all of the medals yet but I'm piloting an RDR-1 Nova Reaper and have amassed 21428 skill points and am at 284 level with 1.7 Billion credits in the bank. I've completed all of the training to level 10. Just wish I knew what to do now with all of the skill points I've amassed. It won't let me do more training above level 10. I just run around with my mercs shooting good and bad guys and structures making more skill points and money. Getting to where I'm at was fantastic to say the least! Still going to try and get all of the medals before I start over. (By the way I'm 75 years old and still gaming!)

Its basically a stripped down, single player, version of Eve online. So obviously, the superior version.

The reason this player could not complete this mission was because they did not read the entire mission log
You are not purchasing these items to deliver to another location, this is not UBER EATS XD, the mission log specifically tells you to check the pick up stations storage location and get the items from there. When you go to the station storage if you see nothing be sure the correct filter at the top is set to display the correct items your looking for, for example "ALL" then you will find your items to take to the drop off location. I hate to think someone would ask for a refund for such a great game because they failed to understand the parameters of a mission. For the person that said this, give it another shot, the game is not broken. I hope this helps others in the future. I almost decided not to buy this due to that one comment, people dont realize how devastating 1 comment can be to the future of a game

35 hrs UPDATE: oh man its like every time i play this i learn something new about the game. For example, not paying attention to your active module rotation/elevation can have you writing the developer a "bug" issue email stating that your harvesters are no longer firing at asteroids, only later to find out that you had them pointed at the ship and as low as they could go with a 10% turn radius....i digress. Now im learning about fleet management and drone management at the same time, its buggy...ok its me but i digress XD, love this game.

60 hour update:
Still loving the game. Finally found a shop that sells a warp drive, then as soon as i bought it i found a shop that sells an advanced warp drive for 59 million credits. Think ill stick with the basic one. I decided to put my main campaign on hold and i switched over to the sandbox game and imported my level 22 main character into a game that requires me to take out raiders in ever sector until i clear all sectors and fight a mega boss. Ok well i chose a 500 sector galaxy so yea, there's that! Also, i still have not ran into any stations that do not have the items needed for pick up.

I hated player pirates.

Ok in all fairness, this is a slightly worse looking version of Eve Online and without the online part. The dev has strayed from being a 1:1 copy which I applaud. There are a few cool mechanics, like life support... you have 4 slots for life support. Each covers a specific purpose but there are multiple items to increase it (and not just LifeSupport3). The better your life support, the longer you can stay in space. Each sector of space has a different amount of requirements. Basically, you have a timer on how long you can stay in space. If you get good gear you can extend that timer. If you get great gear, you can stay out indefinitely.

Ok, enough about life support. The dev obviously played eve, had some ideas on how he could make it better, and decided to make this. That said, it's not a copy: It's love, and it shows.

Did I mention you can edit ships? (we're talking stats, upgrade points, SHAPE?!). It's absolutely worth a buy.

Does this deserve a "Not recommended"? - No , its a great game well worth the price (and it's currently 50% off which is even better)

It's about time we as gamers remembered that a game does NOT have to be in constant development to be a good game , and active development ending is not some evil plot.

All that aside , you're reading this to try and figure out whether to buy the game or not , well the answer is the same one i always give..... Buy it , you have 2 hours of playtime to figure out if its for you. if not , then refund it.

Do you enjoy Eve Online but strongly dislike forced PVP, subscription payments, and games that require an account and internet connection just to fly around space and mine asteroids? Then the solution is simple: Give this developer your money instead. Help him continue to make this project as close to the Eve experience as possible - without all those pesky "people" in it.

It's getting there. It really is. When you play, you really do feel like your playing Eve, but with a potentially more interesting story. (Assuming you care about story more than the sandbox aspect. Sadly, at the time of writing this review, the story is nowhere near complete yet.)

But most importantly, it's so bloody peaceful without all the trolls. The sandbox features are almost meditative. You level, you skill up, you mine, you trade, you process, you construct, you play "space trucker," you raise your faction standing, you get bigger and better ships...all that good stuff.

The main downer is that there's not a whole lot of "drive" behind it without a story objective - no real sense of progression apart from leveling - but that's okay for some. Others may find it boring and pointless. For me, it's just a nice way to unwind after a rough day.

Though I too find it pointless sometimes, I admit. Progression for the sake of progression. It still has a LONG way to go. It definitely still feels quite "rough and indie."

But it's improving tremendously over time. And it's only going to get better, the more folks buy into this instead of paying a monthly Eve sub.

So please...give him your money so that I can finally have the game I want to play.

TBH, I came looking for single player space games when I saw that Starpoint Gemini 3 is totally different from 2 and Warlords; I don't want a space fighter game with Zapp Branigan.

After looking through a few candidates, I found that Astrox Imperium was sort of meant as a single player EVE. I've never played EVE because it's MMO and I don't have time to commit, but I loved a lot of the concepts. I'd say my primary goal was to find something with the capability for fairly expansive ship selection, size, and outfitting with several factions and a lot of varied areas to explore, so I gave this a try.
While Astrox Imperium is still in early access and I'm far from exploring everything (consider that a disclaimer if i'm a bit off on something i say here), it's already met the goals listed above.

Plenty of ships, clearly labeled and geared toward but not tethered to different tasks (plus a ship editor), pretty reasonable customization on them (decals may be a nice future addition), with sizes ranging from shuttle to...i think dreadnought might be the biggest? There's a large variety of lasers, missiles, mining lasers, scanners, etc. to chuck on "active" ship slots and plenty of modifiers for speed, targeting, turning, etc. for "passive" slots with lots of room for future additions, pretty customizable. I initially was unsure about the life support systems but they're not bad, though perhaps a bit more depth could help it be more interesting in the future.

While the game is not open-space like Starpoint Gemini, it has lots of sectors with varied colors, objects/contents, stations, and backgrounds. In the campaign, these are all arranged the same, as far as I can tell, but there's a sandbox mode with lots of randomization (more on that later). Each sector is somewhat small, so I kind of miss the openness, but the way they're arranged in the campaign and the inclusion of a "GPS" autopilot does help...although GPS stands for GLOBAL positioning system, so it's not actually accurate in space :)

It seems like the dev is really responsive to things, as well. I haven't personally asked/posted about anything, but I've seen pretty quick and descriptive responses to almost every post I've looked at, so that puts this dev ahead of certain AAA companies...hah.

It is early access, so I know not everything is fleshed out, but I like what is. Not much story is in-game yet, but I think I read that will be a closely-guarded secret til release, and I'm very on board with that. The factions could use a lot more depth, though the arrangement is interesting in the campaign...and the base sandbox mode doesn't seem to produce a very playable game right now, but the randomization and generation options are dang amazing. I look forward to seeing where this will go and this is one of the few games I will consider donating to after initial early purchase.

I think the only thing I can think of i actually DISlike here that may not be changed (?) is how tiny the stars are and the complete lack of planets. Immersion factor, though the stars do often look pretty/cool regardless.
