Silly question, how do you split stacks into smaller parts?

Overbought some missiles and I know I can just sell the complete stack and try to get the right amount again. But is there any way to simply split my missiles into two stacks, one I can put in storage and the other take with me?

Try :
holding SHIFT while moving cargo = split into halfs
holding CTRL while moving cargo = remove just one
holding ALT while moving = adjust amount with slider

Ha, had problems till I discovered the above works when you go from storage to your cargo compartment. Can't just change in storage. Just a FYI for others.
