However I agree that people probably won't want to buy the IP as the experience has shown that with KSP2.
a) making a better game than KSP1 is really hard (they were originally intending to just do a modernising update); and
b) the community is really hard work - It's "passionate" i.e. toxic beyond belief. Far better for a developer to create something new and not have to put up will all that.

You are wrong as well. The actual reason it will not sell is because they have sunk too much money into this pit, and to recover from this loss they will set an asking price that will put it out of reach of any buyers who would want to tackle this. In short... they will want too much money for the IP so it will never sell.

I still think this may end up like No man's sky. Considered a dead game with broken promises at first but ended up with a lot of time becoming an actual good game. If T2 acutally sells the IP i have some hope that this game may be some day finally finished

They were given a 60 day notice on March 31st. On June 31st, the layoffs will take effect and they will be laid off.

update is great but update on the studio is more welcome.

(cuz ksp1 has 500+ bugs, entire ecosystem of bugs/krakens)

Is the game going to continue to receive updates? Some people seem quick to let devs off the hook by accepting it as a dead game but personally I think abandoning something we were given a load of false promises over should be a permenant blacklist for the people involved, who will most likely still make games under a different name

Especially considering we're all out of 50 dollars. If it was 20 bucks I wouldn't care, but what I paid for is NOT what I got
