Contakt SpaceX or Elon Musk
I have no idea how it could work, but maybe someone can contact Elon Musk and ask for support for the game

I've always felt that playing KSP is like playing the story of SpaceX

Just another stupid idea, but some stupid ideas have become great :D

I think it's a great idea. Musk could model in all the latest Space X technologies. It would be great advertising for him and Space X. The angry people would get the finished game that they want. Win win for everyone.

LOL He must be the most successful idiot in human history. My bet is with him and not your judgement of his skills.

Can you list all his recent successes?

He captured a rocket with chopsticks and has mastered reusable rockets in general. He is creating a world wide satellite internet system. His Telsa company stock is up 132% in the last year. He pick the winning side in the US election, which will help his companies in general. He is fighting for free speech and against grooming gangs in the UK. Facebook is following his lead now and getting less censorship and using community notes like X. I am sure I could think of more, but go look it up yourself, if you can be bothered to see past your hate.

Yeah, but....

I don't know exactly whether Elon Musk really achieved these milestones or whether he just had the idea and financed it.

So even if he didn't do them all himself, they were an extension of his will or choices he made.

It is a good idea. Very impressive is the modding community of KSP1 in particular. With the RO mods KSP1 becomes a realistic space simulator. KSP2 is perhaps good for raising general interest in space travel.

+1, good idea

I might upset you, stupit SpaceX/Elon Musk fans. Most likely, he doesn't care about the gaming industry at all, since he has much more important things to do, namely American politics.

Oh, I don't imagine anyone believes Elon cares about supporting gaming, although note that he is well known for livestreaming Diablo 4, so he is a known PC gamer.

That's kinda the point -- the goal is to have Elon pick some SpaceX computer department manager who loves KSP and say "Here's $50 million, go develop KSP2 in 5 years," then largely disappear (except, perhaps, for random absurd X posts).

I strongly object to many, perhaps most, of Elon's politics and his opinions on social issues, especially in regards to X and his support of Trump. But he has a decent track record at finding the right people, providing them with abundant funding, and allowing them enough freedom to achieve some amazing results. And even his failures (the Boring company and Hyperloop) aren't attributed to micromanagement, just technical failures (tasks cannot be completed economically without technological breakthroughs, which failed to materialize). KSP2 is certainly technically feasible, it just doesn't make any economic sense at this point.

In any case, this idea has been proposed repeatedly in the past -- if it was likely to happen, then it would have already happened.

Space Karen needs to stay away from gaming, he has already infected most other things.
