Well then when they release it should still be worth every penny.
Absolutely. Not saying it wont be. But plenty of game there as it is to consider it a full game. I mean you will have to read full capsule manuals to play the game well. Its a full simulator at this point. Plenty to still come of course but if you need a good space sim fix its a solid EA that plays as a full game. But yes totally up to you if you get it early or wait. I don't gain from it either way.

it's certainly not kerbal, you can't build ships and exploration is limited to the moon and above all it's a simulator, but if you're interested in the genre I strongly recommend it.
