In general it's possible to get a new team working on a project.
possible? yes
likely? no
to me the single formulation "updateing KSP2" indicates for me that they concluded development otherwhise why not write will continue to develope KSP2?
But even then the question of if this is believeable stays you have to see the cost the project already took and compared to the what they got from salles. That hardly adds up.
So why would they put in more money?
And given the great response and answer from TakeTwo on the scoring takeing to zero it more and more looks like that the game is indeed dead for TakeTwo too.
I kinda assume they had no idea the news would come out and basically have no clue what to say.
I am still a bit baffled that it did come out the way it did, but I guess some people dug deeper when a couple of IG people where suddenly looking for work.
Do you believe than take 2 will do something ? Don't you know Take 2 history ?
Do you believe than there is something to say. The game have a negative rating.
Their name literally means "Whoops, that's no good, lets reset and try again"!
Yes sure, the same massive success as the first time, i.e. if "all goes well in a fully funded team" the next update of KSP2 will be released in 2028. And I'm not talking about updates, just about some quick fix for some bugs.
