direct the hate towards those publishers for screwing them over tbh
But I agree with the OP not to make fun of people that just lost their job.
Exactly. Let's see how long YOU"D be willing to pay 70 people to REPRODUCE a game they already owned. They literally couldn't even make KSP 1, with the source code from KSP 1. "OH you publishers!!!! Why couldn't you just continue throwing money in a dumpster?!?" LOL.
Get real... The KSP 2 team was never talented enough to pull it off.
I'm not cheering however, since that means all those sweet little lies they fed us were just that. Lies. I used to hate those 'SCAM' posts, but now I'm more inclined to agree with them.
They’d still have jobs if they released a finished/functional game.
Steam users will always be scum of the earth. None of this is the fault of the developers, they did nothing wrong.
If your meal sucks, it's not the fault of the chef?
Ok then, fellow scum of the Earth steam user!
You can blame the Chef de cuisine, because he's in charge of the kitchen. But it's unfair to blame all the cooks, without knowing what any of them did. We know the engineering leadership was bad, because software quality is a direct measurement of that. That doesn't reflect on the art team, the sound team, or the devs working the code mines who had no guidance about how to do things right, or were perhaps overruled on best practices.
They had 7 years to figure it out along with the source code of the old game
