Does anyone know what the update that hit today is all about?

Yeah, whole 234 MB. Few second ago. Among all other things, they removed the Private Division Launcher. That is weird.

All I noticed for now was that the game now launches straight into the main menu instead of opening a news/weekly challenge window
Kind of disappointed, I was hoping the team would go all out with at least one big update before they got canned. If I remember the dates right, weren't they out of a job 2 or 3 days ago? Maybe yesterday?

Wasn't expecting colonies or the other system, but this is kinda lack luster, I especially don't like the change to out of atmosphere.

Well, knowing that Private division is no more, the launcher would cause even more issues...

Ah, thank you. Gives me a little bit of hope for something, at least fixing that bug on Minmus where you turn blue before you even get close to the site.

I didn't, My wildest expectations were : the curent game-breaking bugs to be fixed. That would already be a huge lot, considering.

And it's still possible, given gow many bugs are (claimed to be) fixed with this update, plus the fact that they might work on it until the end of the month...

I was expecting colonies, by all accounts the colony system was days away from being completed before early access.

Construction

Fixed: Moving stages around in the extended staging stack is difficult
Fixed: Duplicated wheels, wings, and decouplers connected to physicsless parts will occasionally fall off or cause the craft to disassemble when launching the vessel
Fixed: Loading a craft file with parts surface-attached to other surface attached parts causes parts to show on the floor of the vehicle assembly building
Fixed: Duplicating a stack in the VAB that includes a decoupler and an engine causes errors when launching the vessel
Flight & Map

Updated parachute safety and destruction algorithms so that parachutes will not deploy in situations where they will immediately break
Adjusted parachute default deploy pressures from 0.01 to 0.04 atm so they will deploy after reentry regimes
Revised parachute drag numbers to provide a more consistent experience
Fixed: Parachutes that are staged via the staging stack do not appear as staged in the Part Manager
Maneuvers can now be created in the map even if a vessel shows 0 delta-V available
Fixed: Using the Surface Teleport cheat to move a craft with landing legs extended can cause orbit lines to disappear

I was expecting colonies, by all accounts the colony system was days away from being completed before early access.

This could be just a precursor to colonies. Something to clean up a few lose ends before colonies.
