Go read the TOS for EA games and let this be a learning experience.
Not really but it is what it is...Had they priced it at 20€ I would be on the same boat, but we would not be having this conversation for 20€, I know I would not...
But lets be clear, that was hope based on a dream and not reality :D I fully expected this game to never be finished because, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.... was it released in a dogshite state after years of delays.
But yeah, Early Access means they can abandon the game and don't have to give refunds. That's probably why it's still for sale on Steam - why announce that the game is dead when there might be some suckers out there still willing to pay for it? It's disgusting.
The only, very bitter, hope left is that some people who deserve it get blacklisted in the industry, for that.
They will point to the 2h rule, but give you a refund either way probably.
Worked for me,... did get like 5 "no"s first, but finally found a rep that did understand how scammy this looks and how bad this reflects on Valve.
You mean like releasing a tech demo disguised as something that "had to be released because we could not stop playing..." playing what exactly, loading simulator? And for 50€ no less?
Straight up a scam, T2 never intended to release a working product, otherwise they would have noticed by 2020 that the team in charge was not going to cut it.
Huge delay for naught, remember the "lithobraking near you in 2020"?
Then we find out EA will not have any of the new features that were expected. And this is where I became pretty sus of the whole thing, and chose to not buy it. It releases and it's a mess. Something had clearly gone wrong during development.
I wouldn't be too surprised if T2 got fed up and forced them to release it in early access.
So long story short, I dodged a bullet with this one. Things got way too weird with the development of this game for me to trust it.
"dude it's EA do you know what EA means?"
Game looks shaky because all the trailers are sub-30FPS
"dude they'll optimise it later, be positive!"
Game is a piece of ♥♥♥♥ because it runs 20FPS on one of the fastest gaming CPU on the market.
"dude it's EA do you know what EA means?"
I'm not sure how they'll optimise it since it's using the exact same ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game and physics engine as the first game but doing a LOT more.
"dude they'll optimise it later, be positive!"
and now...
This guy is the real deal, 13 hrs playtime according to his review... but no mouse icon so it was refunded.
I don't recall the exact steps, but to replicate you need to contact customer support (steam) and you need to explain articulately and exceedingly politely why you should get a refund. I've managed to do it before too... was a few yrs ago but valve always has discretionary power to issue a refund to you in the interest of customer retention. As long as you don't make a habit of it.... When they do this they are basically taking the hit for you... they won't get reimbursed by take2 for out of procedure refunds. Good luck peeps.
