What's bad?

It's early access, so 2/3 of the game isn't here yet.

There's a bunch of things I'm not enthused about, but that's just me. YMMV.

It's lackluster. That's the best way to describe it. If we even ignore the bugs because it's Early Access, it's a sequel that instead of building on the original success it removes a lot of the charm, gameplay, and basic quality of life it had. The things it does have seem like weak and dumbed down versions of what we had in the original game.

The original game has more content and at the pace they are going, I doubt this game will ever surpass it. Does that make it "bad", well you have to decide that.

If you ignore the bugs, the content added is made for kids, so ...
The challenging learning mentality from the first game who launched people into Nasa is not there.

I don't want to talk about the fact than the math are not working properly.

no. I wouldn't define it as a bad game, at most an EA with an uninspiring development but within the average of what I consider acceptable for the development of an early access title.
then yes, it depends on you and what you are looking for.

It's not bad, fulfilling? no, not really. Stick with KSP1 if that's what you are after. Graphics are the only thing going for KSP2 and those are barely an improvement over KSP1 modded.

It's buggy. Parachutes randomly don't open, trajectories change by magic when no engines or RCS are enabled. It's just about playable and I am enjoying it, but with a lot of frustrating bugs.

It is worse than KSP1 with less content than KSP1,... but looks slightly shinier (not the UI tho, that is indeed bad).

So, just play KSP1 and hope KSP2 ever reaches the same level. Certainly do not waste money on it now.
