First the outrageous asking price for an EA at this development stage.
Now the layoffs...
This ain't looking great.
I honestly don't care about people's opinions on what is currently happening. But if you feel as if I am attacking you then I apologise.
Anyone with a brain should refund it now.
And in all honnesty, I'm happy that the asking price was so high, so I used my money on a smaller but fun Early access game to play where devs are actively responding in the forum, listening to their community, and the game is almost bug free, and a perfectly achievable
6-8 month roadmap, due to the current state of the game.
And this KSP2 forum is really worth checking only for the
All of that is really bad looks for a game. Honnestly there are 3 things I check before buying a game.
- A few gameplay videos / reviews
- Reading Steam reviews with significant gameplay from poster where I obviously dismiss fanbois and haters reviews
- Reading the forums. If a forum is that awful as this one is getting, it usually has a great impact on me siding with NOT buying the game.
There KSP has about 100% bad points. Scott Manley (that we all know it's even hard to make it more fanboi as him for this very game) even had hard times supporting where the game is as of now. The forum is a mess, and reviews.. well we all know where it is...
He doesn't care but still types back, funny man. Get down your high horse, well written words can only mask trolls for so long
Yo, why no refund though ? KSP2 was my biggest hype and i'm a bit sceptical about Take2 taking the lead.
My reasoning is: they don't need the money, this is not a small indie company. Also, the only pressure we have as consumers is our wallet. If we buy the game now, then they'll have no reason to update the game and actually deliver on promises.
Not asking you to, i simply explained my reasoning. I'm just asking for yours if you want to share, you seem like a genuine person
Im not refunding, even though I dislike the current state of the game, for 2 reasons.
I trust this dev to get it right eventually.
And $50 isnt much to me (Not bragging, just saying Im ok with losing it if this turns out wrong). For those whose $50 is waaay more precious, Id suggest waiting a few weeks. Ive said that before, but got blown off as a troll lol. Take it as you will, and thanks PC Principle.
