Reviews go BRRRAP
Damn, people are not happy at all with the current state of the game.
What a disastrous release.

Any light at the end of the tunnel or should I just stick with KSP1?

if you´re not sure stick with ksp1 or wait a year until little bit fleshed out or buy it , if you are long term thinking, it is early access and will be build to be playable soon

KSP2 is not much more than an exercise in frustration at the moment, with hardly any signs of whether the multitude of issues you will face are your fault or just bugs. With no updates planned for a good week or more I would advise playing KSP1 for the forseeable instead.
I would say there is absolutely light at the end of the tunnel, the launch day patch fixed things a tiny bit, enough for me to be able to fly around a bit, but I don't feel bad saying you could definitely wait a while if you are not a superfan.

You will not have fun playing this game at its current state. It's just a poorly optimized KSP1 with less parts, buggy graphics, and a slightly different Kerbin. I would definitely wait...

Unfair oversimplification, but agreed - if not interested in the process, definitely wait or start with KSP 1.

I guess the first patch will tell.
It's not that we reasonably could expect all the bugs and performance issues to just disappear, but it should give an indication if the game is moving in the right direction.

If you just want to play: Stick with KSP1 for the time being and check later when EA is further down the roadmap (i.e. science + tech trees). By then most of the game-breakers should have been ironed out (hopefully)

I'd wait!

i bought KSP from the crappy website back in the day. and as i got excluded from a forum on another EA trainwreck on steam i stoped trusting them. did cost steam 300 € so far. but it was also the reason i never redeemed the code for KSP on steam so i never played any mod.
(by now i forgot the password I used back in the day and i cant play it with updates)

I just need to wait until ksp goes to 10€ and i dont care for that as i got it back in the day for like 7-8€ so that is ok.

THE IMPORTANT PART: i will look into tons of mods that will give me looong hours in a game that will feel like KSP2 for me.

Just sand box mode ATM . Building is fun and those prodecdural wings are fun to play with

KSP 2 has nothing you can not get with KSP1, or KSP1 with mods, pile some gfx mods onto KSP1 and it looks better with stable 60FPS+ too.

Stick to KSP1. KSP 2 is not fun at all, its pretty but that's all it has going for it

There is certainly a light at the end of the tunnel. Time will tell whether it's an oncoming train. I recommend checking back in 6 months or a year. The dev team will do something in that time, and maybe it will be something good.
