Kerbal Space Program 2

Kerbal Space Program 2

EVA
Ok, last night before going to sleep I landed on the Mun. This morning I loaded my save and went to EVA Jeb, and.....nothing? I highlight his portrait and there's an EVA 'button' but it goes away when I move my mouse towards it. There's no key in the control list for entering or leaving the spacecraft, and it's been too long since I played KSP1 and I don't remember the keyboard commands.

Note to self: Hitting shift-tab to open the steam access panels, triggers the throttle on your lander, and I somehow got lateral ground movement at about 10 m/s and tipped over when I touched down again, had to reload the save. Deactivate engine before hitting shift-tab

yesterday, my kerbonauts also stopped leaving cabins and capsules. I press the exit icon and nothing happens :(
I have never been able to go on EVA so far. I landed on Mün with the MK1-3 pod and couldn't leave (the doors weren't blocked). I tried to do it in orbit, but to no avail. So I tried almost every pod at the launch pad - still nothing. I even tried the rover hot seat. Nope. Nada.

I found the answer in the KSP2 Forum: Kerbals are considered Debris. So if you have your settings set to 0 persistant debris, you cannot EVA. Set it above 0 and you'll be able to EVA again.
I think if you block the exit(s) with stuff you can't exit, at least that was my experience when I flew a jet over to the island and couldn't eva, my wing was covering part of the door
as I said, nizzemancer, doors weren't blocked. It's a game issue. Kerbals are considered "Debris". If you set persistent debris to 0, you won't be able to EVA Kerbals.

The blocked exit is not a bug. That's by design and has been that way in KSP 1 as well (for a good resason). This was not the issue here!
