System requirements is a joke 🤡
In case that KSP2 was announced in 2019, when there was no any sign of NVIDIA 30 seriers and even 10th gen intel processors, i can admit that i was right when i conclude that Devs lied to us preemptively about game.
These sys req clearly shows that game was in active development only for 1-2 years. Also this explain why they "delay" game.
Just simply because there was no game.

Over these 3 years we've seen a lot of beaftiful games: Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, CoD MW'19, CoD MW'22, Dead Space Reamke, etc. etc. etc.
And non of these games wants rtx 20 seriers as bare minimum. I played every game above (and a lot of other games) on my rig (i5 9400, 2060S, 16Gb 3200 DDR4, NVMe SSD) with stable/mostly stable 60 on ~high settings with 1440p screen.

KSP 2 clearly not at the cutting edge of 3d graphics to require such hardware which not even existed when KSP2 was formally announced.
This only again shows devs incompetence and wet state of the game. Which i warned many times.
Be ready to absolutely non-optimized game with constat freezes and uplayable FPS.

They are lazy and dont want to optimize their code or even worse, they dont know how to optimize it so it runs smoothly with rockets that have less than 50 parts.

Can't say I'm surprised unfortunately, when there was so many red flags already...

Wow a game with complex physics, high detail textures, models, particles, etc. requires good pc specs?

who knew!

This is for 2k max settings at 60fps in all gameplay situations. Not "to play"

Well, let’s hope they have time to optimize from now till release. If not, some people will be potato’d out of it. Even at the min. 2060. (I have a 970, but am upgrading soon).

KSP one was kinda like communism. As long as you met the min. requirements, after awhile it ran like crap no matter how good your rig. Equalization of misery.

But just how I love the what the Soviet space program accomplished in spite of that, I do love KSP 1. Including the fact it ran “ok-ish sometimes” on my aging 4690k+GTX 970.

We'll see.
Anyway these req is not proportional to visual quality of the game. There is much more detailed and beatiful game with much less requirements.

Can you list the red flags?
- Delay of the game multiple times
- Devs getting scooped from original team
- Management issues
- Game being in "polishing and feature adding" since 2020
- Game announced as EA with not a single feature in 2022
- Game announced as a 50$ EA while being niche game...
Just to name a few of course.
