Click on that and you should get a new style gizmo for editing the fairing.
I dont want to spend the time to read the responses so ill give you quick instructions in case they didnt.
1. click the gear icon
2. raise as high as you want
2.b. when your ready to close it, press the + on the right side, raise it one or two notches, then pull the right arrow in until it meets in the middle. NOTE: if its the top then youll be left with a tiny hole, which will auto close when you press the check mark.
3. if you need to make it wider, widen it, then press+ then raise... you can wash and repeat. Go to 2.b.
Each + is an additional 'level' that can be widened or made more narrow. Think ribs inside a tube. Those ribs can be made bigger or smaller and the skin will form over them.
