Kerbal Space Program 2

Kerbal Space Program 2

A review on WINGS.
Wings are currently what every KSP1 player's dream was. The procedural aspect really is wonderful. However, that doesn't mean they are perfect. Here is what I found playing for the first time:

-Bugs
1: If you have the procedural config open, if you placed wings using symetry, the wings on the other side of the ship are flipped upside down for some reason.

2: When messing with control surface positioning, if you place them towards the outmost parts of a wing, the coloured stripes cut out in the inner parts of it. Don't know if its intentional or not, but it should be fixed since it's really ugly.

-Quality of life
1: There should be a way to store the settings on your procedural adjustments after configuring them, since you may reuse them in control surfaces for Rockets or wings on Planes. Either a "save config" button on the actual config menu or storing them in the build menu as you hover over the wing type, that way you can quickly place them down without having to adjust it all back

2: When you actually fly a plane/rocket, the control surfaces are way too instant, meaning soft controls are basically impossible unless you set the authority to a low value. They should be made like in KSP1 where there is an extension time for all control surfaces, and maybe make that configurable in the parts manager.

Please keep in mind this is in no way this is inciting hate, just a genuine attempt at helpful feedback, since I think I can say for everyone here we love the procedural wings! :steamhappy:

Suggestion: Submit helpful dev-directed feedback using the feedback channels they look at, rather than throwing it into this forum that they probably won't see it in. There's a newspost on how to do that. One option is the feedback button in the launcher.

Hey, how do you open the procedural config for the wings? I didn't notice it anywhere.

Also if I can add Bugs:
3: Sometimes the configuration button of the wings doesn't open the configuration window, but still puts the wing in the "configuring" state. This usually breaks the game and makes it impossible to continue in VAB and can sometimes require a reload of the game to get fixed.

There should be a wrench symbol where you placed the wing that you click and edit it
Hope this helps :)

thank you for the suggestion, I just didn't see those channels so I posted it to general. Where can I find that?

Got it. I recall clicking on that out of curiosity, and it messed up wing semmetry, so hit the 'undo' button and didn't look at it again. Didn't bother to look if any configs popped up.

Thanks.

In fact thats one of the things I cited in this post: the wings dont actually mess their symetry, its a visual glitch that happens for some reason, if you close the tab they go back to normal
