So don't use it?

Yes it bothers me, half of the fun was to figure out what works and what does not, now you just slap XXXX Dv+500 on top to make sure and there you go, it should get you there.

If you wanted that in KSP 1 it was available, but to have it in the game takes away fun, it is nonsense. Too much babysitting.

It's an optional feature. Don't use it. It doesn't babysit you if you don't want it to.

This is like complaining that Amazon is selling cook books because you just want to throw stuff in a pot and see if it's palatable.

Come on that is nonsense. Cooking is not a game.

Would you prefer that with every purchase of KSP2 you get shipped a calculus book and a slide rule?

It would be nice if it came after updating the navigation buildings or maybe a new "supercomputer" building.

When i made it to the mun first time in KSP it was a great thing, i was not sure if make it and if i get back, i designed and flew by feel.
Everyone new to the series or casually using the cheat sheet will be robbed of that experience. The devs think this is QoL, but it takes away fun and gameplay suspense.

That is the sort of streamlining that ruins the experience.

I'm partially of the same idea... i think when you also have to take into account leaving the mun and maybe randevouz with a control module before re-entry, this kind of tool could make the task more bearable. But at the same time not sure if it should be availalbe before landing on the mun for the same reason you are.

NASA dont do trial and error.
They use cheat sheets too.

Yea, have it come along with level 3 tracking station or something like that. So when you go out very long distance, you have it available. But in the early game this will rob so many players of their suspensfull experiences.

Come on, that is the same argument as the amazon cookbook. NASA is not a game, neither is cooking.
A game should be fun and somewhat suspensfull, at least in the start.

Honestly though... I can see why they included it, getting a feel for what's working is a lot easier when you have some ballpark figures. No idea how lenient those numbers are, new players will probably easily miss a maneuver node or two and get stranded anyway.

It should give rough estimates that get better when tech gets better, although... Katherine Johnson did the calculations for Apollo by hand iirc, can't get much more low tech than that.

Also a Iron Man option would be nice. No remove recovery, no back to VAB, no deletion of debris. But stuff like that, basically balancing, probably is best later in the dev cycle when everything else actually works as expected.

Yeah I get i don't have to use it but when I heard flight planner i thought I'd be able to plan my flights before take off ether with nodes or alarm clock not just the cheat sheet.

Also others might not want to see a cheat sheet and open the flight planer not knowing what it is and getting spoiled.
