You can click on a spot on your map track and get a popup to make a maneuver node. I haven't done much with it but it seems like the usual drag the arrows to set up the maneuver, drag the core to shift the maneuver point.

(I dunno if they have the finer text-box maneuver node controls KSP1 eventually did.)

Good question - there seems to be a problem with it at the moment. I would say wait for the next update ...

I could only set one maneuver node and when I tried to set another one, nothing happend, no matter where I clicked. I restarted the save and then I could add another one. But the rocket failed to align itself with the target, it was just spinning despite RCS and reaction wheel.

I could only make them if the game wasn't paused (at zero time warp)

The spinning normally happens in KSP1 when the node is set with nothing on it, just the node. Setting SAS to maneuver will just make it spin since it has no direction.

Not sure if you made the node with direction or the game failed to see what you input.

hmmm. I figured out that the problem was that I was on pause, not a bug. I am sorry I have no solutions. maybe it will be fixed in a patch.
