i remember appolo 11 when the manually landing on the moon was made with joysticks.
I have a NXT Gladiator, and a Winwing Orion II I use for DCS and I wouldn't mind using those for KSP if I could.
I have a thrustmaster, a simple joystick system, gas manager and few more buttons used for group actions.
I found it very usefull for KSP 1. Excepy Spacex capsules where there is touch screens, every machine had joystick and more ti handle it. I never seen a rocket with a computer keyboard to flight it.
