KSP 1 = $39.99 in 2015 / KSP2 = $49.99 in 2023...why so salty?
Curious why?

No, first version of KSP1 was before 2015 (in 2015 Squad was bought by TT2 and republished), wasnt 40 USD, it was full playable with all features from the start (science, career, etc) and around 15 bucks...

Because right now, today, at this instant, for the time being, also currently, KSP1 is worth much more than KSP2.

Buying a plant vs buyng a seed.

KSP 1 = Game finished / KSP2 = Early access with a lot of bugs and problems AND FOR THE MOMENT it does not have the content that they have promised and are promising. That its the problem.

because people are dumb.

They kept people waiting for years with multiple delays + half the game is released + no regional price (KSP1 is 59TRY for comparison while this costs 950TRY) + 50$ is way too much, even lots of AAA games asks for less.

EXACTLY. You are buying a seed that will grow into a plant. That's why it's VERY clearly labelled an early access game. Some folks can't read it seems.

Paid £18 in 2013 but that was for Early Adopters version and advised they would throw in all future DLC.

I own dozens of Early Access titles and i am very familiar with the concept but KSP2 in it's current form is not worth the price tag!! I am still very interested in this game but i am going to wait atleast 6-12 months before buying this. 50 Dollars/Euro's for an EA game is just ridiculous and the worst part is that people accept these greedy practices in gaming these days...

Also vastly different circumstances - KSP1 was a risk. It was unique and from a non-AAA developer - sure the price is lower with bonuses thrown in. I wont cry over corporations losing money (f*** em) but to be shocked that they are trying to make some money off the back of the success of KSP1 - not suprised. Pay or dont - keep living life.

I just looked in my Steam history. March 23rd 2013, I bought KSP - Early Adopters Edition for 23.54 CAD.

KSP2 Early Access is currently 67 CAD. That's close to 3 times the price. Inflation and all, but while I will surely buy the game at some point, I'll wait until there is some more content and optimization.

Are you struggling to understand inflation rates of some countries around the world?

xD I love how people are justifying sorry excuse that ea is in. This is so far downgrade in terms of physics, optimization and content. From w i've seen so far from videos it seems they slapped old engines with sparkles and called it a day. This is not catering to fans of old kerbal, its spitting at their faces.
i bought a ferrari, so got the key on top
