A Graphics card to meet minimum standards is about as much as my rent.
Oof, hope things gets better and you're able to enjoy this game at full graphics soon man. Cheers
Settings are low.
FAB >30 fps
Lauchpad 10 Part Roket >20 fps
Lauchpat >100 Parts Roket ca 4 fps
It just works :-)
... why is this thread then?
Going down the roadmap (if that ever happens) and when all features are implemented, if they dont heavily optimize the game, we gonna need a 4090
It is still mindblowing, even after seeing it few times already, that PC Master Race keeps comparing the lenghts of their GPUs regardless of whatever actually issue is.
"- Good day, sir. I would like to buy a bottle of shampoo.
- I am very sorry, out of stock.
- I use RTX 2060, GTX 1060 is too old. You should buy new rig."
I will spoil the surprise, and maybe ruin whatever fun you have at the moment, but you should start looking at the single-core CPU speed. Just sayin'. Framerate is bottlenecked by amount of unoptimized physics computations. Sure GPU has tiny impact, but as soon as your GPU doesn't have 100% usage (computational or VRAM), you reached the CPU bottleneck. ;)
We need to test it on some lower end hardware and see if it improves.
But yeah they made a pretty big mistake.
Its not YOUR 1060, its EVERY card. The guy in the video get 20 FPS in 2K with a RTX 4080. And when you look at the community hub from both games, KSP2 has 2300 players at the moment and KSP1 has 4700 players, for some reason.....
On my GTX 1060, i could do 4 simultanious launches of 184 part rockets at 18FPS.

Well, I see it quite fluid, but what doesn't work is the FPS counter.
So KSP1 has even more players than you think, probably like 3x more at least, and still this doesn't point to what you think it does.
An ancient, AMD 8730FX.
32 GB memory, and through my mobo patched to function as backup VRAM.
