How does the interstellar travel work in this game?
Does anyone know yet? I imagine it's a loading screen and a star map sort of thing.

From my understanding you're gonna need special engines/tech, and need to point your vessel to where you wanna go. Basically fast time warp, without the time warp.
Like the warp drives from star trek.

If you want serious answers and actual moderation I suggest you move over to forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/ as this place is just filled with trolls and people spamming bad faith baseless arguments and misinformation.

To give you an actual answer, the type of drives they've shown in the trailer and the previews point towards things like the Project Daedalus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Daedalus), Avatar's ISV Venture Star or, at the top of the tech tier, stuff from The Expanse.
So we're talking of years if not decades of slow travel between star systems.

If you expect anything, don't expect Elite Dangerous or NMS leve's of jumping around between solar systems.

From what it seems, not even the devs know yet

What? So it isn't even in the early access? But that was one the biggest things they advertised the game with. The 50€ is even more ridiculous then.

But the game is supposed to have continuous travel and real interstellar distances.
Not warp-gates or hyperspace loading screens.

You pay 50€ for the roadmap basically. None of the advertised features will be there in EA next month.

A roadmap without dates too. It may as well be in the span of the next decade

Folding-space, an alternate dimension that carries you faster(hyperspace), just simply going real f---ing fast, or perhaps the Dark Matter engine from Futurama that does not move the ship, but simply moves the universe around it. We've got options.
