Procedural Wings tip?

In one of the recent promo vids, you can see how the procedural wing tools use sliders on the side of the screen to control the parameters of the wing.
I've used procedural wing mods where you can hold a button and use the mouse to more fluidly change the same values.

Which do you think is a better idea to have:
Sliders to control the values independently from the wing?
or mouse control clicking/hovering over the wing.

We won't know until we try, but I would like to see more opinions on the matter.
