so you want EA for free and you think companies making money is "corporate" greed? KSP was EA for years and it wasn't free. It was 23 bucks ten years ago. KSP2 is a niche game and if you want to play it you'll have to support it with money and not just a sense of entitlement.
I am blinded by thy shining white armour!
Woe is upon me!
Never said for free. I said a playable demo to help with development. Just giving out money lately to EA games has been a very bad experience for many including myself. EA games are very hard to trust right now and for that amount of money im expecting at least 75% game-play. From what i gather so far its not even close to half.
The price for KSP2 It def is more than I want to pay but KSP1 was 23 bucks 10 years ago for EA and Baldur's Gate 3 is 60 bucks right now in EA. I bought BG3, no regrets. Things cost what they cost and, like it or not, businesses are in the business of making money. This is simple stuff. Your impatient tantrums aren't any sort of currency.
I'll def buy KSP2 if it continues to look promising. It's not like some other not for profit game delelopment charity is going to make the KSP2 of my dreams and give it out for free
I dunno who would be making those decisions, but if so, you need to tell them to knock it off. Now.
KSP is a niche experience that became as popular as is/was because of a low barrier of entry and the dedicated work of modders. Putting a AAA paywall in front of the game is going to hurt both of those things.
The thing that worries me the most is the fact that the flagship feature is at the very bottom of the roadmap: Multiplayer.
This entire EA thing is very sus to me.
If its too much money you really need to go get a job. If your job doesn't pay enough you shouldn't be playing video games you should be figuring out what needs to be done to get a higher paying job.
let me stop you there with that job thing. Im pretty well off as you can see from my excessive game inventory on my profile, What im mostly going on about is the cost for an EA game that wont turn out to be expected of it. I have wasted soo much money on EA games for them to 75% be mostly flops in the end or abandoned. Hence why i prefer a demo be made instead of paying for something that will possibly go no where in the future. Buying into EA makes devs not have to do to much, cause they end up getting a boost of cash flow and they start to take their time with development. Then they make a certain amount and then sometimes abandon their project cause they have no more people buying into EA cause less and less people do it due to people complaining of little to no features in development. Then they move onto another project to try to swindle more money and the process repeats itself. A lot of indie devs have done this and gotten away with it in recent years. I understand KSP 1 didnt do that. but they still put some features behind DLC. I know that will happen with this game. having a demo instead of paying for EA forces devs to really put effort into their project to keep people interested.
Are you really going to complain about a $50 game that will give you unlimited entertainment?
304 games over 15 years isn't the financial flex you seem to think it is.
