Just heard a story recently how Vampire The Masquerade 2 got cancelled and it had all the same signs as KSP2, change of publisher, different dev team working on it, unusually long delays then radio silence for a long time until they finally cancelled it.

I'm getting really worried now that history is about to repeat itself...

Dude I've been playing computer games longer than you've been alive, Amoeba Boy. Plenty of projects get cancelled along the way so just STFU. If you were older than 12 you'd know this fact. Nobody does vaporware on purpose the the longer a project goes on, the more money that is being sunk into it. Sometimes developers decide to cut their losses and cancel projects in development. It's a simple economic decision.

As I said multiple times, the devs are interacting on a weekly basis mainly on the official forums at: https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/

Every game seems dead if you judge it by an automatically generated forum that the devs aren't using.

Also, the game is planned to release sometimes in Q1 2022, a year from now, it's obvious that the marketing campaing hasn't started yet.

which is fair enough and I understand, I am just curious though if one would suggest that it was on purpose what would the ecomomic motovation be.
