My expectations for KSP 2 tanked.
A) Not involved with this game.
B) The same people are not the ones calling the shots.
C) The devs have been working very closely with Squad to ensure that KSP2 is as close to the expectations of the fanbase as possible.
I'd hold out on the hate until release.
B) Take2 is calling shots, which could be even worse in regards to their typical monetization practices
C) That doesn't mean anything as Squad doesn't have devs that developed KSP in the first place, for a loooong time.
In any case, devs previous experience is arena shooter and strategy, non of that involves physics based gameplay. Good multiplayer + physics is already something that only top people in the industry can pull of with a good quality.
So far, nothing of that is demonstrated and feature list is just bullet points made-up by the marketing to make sure good reception of the core player base.
We have a right to be skeptical about this and express our worries, as neither publishers nor developers record is all that great when it comes to being loved by gaming community. Which was crucial component for KSP.
Yeah, and that position is just annoying, because it just isn't constructive.
They have all chances that they need - funding from publisher, established franchise, huge community of fans, pretty clear game mechanics. Isn't this a lot?
My concerns are pretty grounded. Materials presented so far don't address them. What do you expect from me?
