Terminator is the name of the killer robot right? So in this game which side will I play for? Or there is a choice?

You play as a resistance fighter.

But, there is a short campaign where you can play as a t-800 infiltrator.

That said, those are 2 different thing. There is no side choosing here.

As mentioned before: the foundation is the story of the first 2 Terminator movies.

In the setting, "Terminators" are the machines created by the rogue A.I known as Skynet. The game covers the back-story of the first Terminator movie. You're not playing as Kyle Reese; he appears in the game, but you're playing as a human resistance soldier who helped him travel back in time. So yes, you're playing as a human in the base campaign.

However, there is also an optional campaign where you play as a Terminator whose actions set up the plot of the first movie.
