It will be class action, as the above prevents many from properly evaluating the game, not only me.

Either the critics were not paid enough, or the devs paid off community members.

I think I and others have noticed the same trend. I'd be interested in what you find.

If the sources we turn to for reviews are hopelessly corrupt, than we either need to find new sources or create our own.

I didn't play, only saw a few videos.

The thing is, the game will be nice for people who like the story and don't care for a few "problems" like AI, graphics, etc, and I think this is the problem IGN and the Metacritic used to give a grade for this game.

I'll buy with a discount of at least 60% because it's too expensive in Brazil, but I like the story, don't care that much for graphics and maybe will accept the bad AI.

I agree wait for a price cut, but seriously this was a huge surprise for me. I had very low expectations for this game and it still has some problems that need some tweaking. But the sound track is awesome, the graphics are good and they were faithful to the source material. I freaking enjoyed it.

I think it's safe to say the review process for the average consumer is corrupt. I guess it's reached that point. Most people will youtube search about a game they may be considering and then they may probably sort by views. That process alone can be easily purchased.

I'd agree with that. For this game. I guess I got off on a tangent about the game industry as a whole that probably doesn't belong in this thread.

This game is basically mix between Metro 2033, The long dark and a little bit of Fallout 4 while also being a faithfull successor to Terminator Future Shock. Enjoying every second of it and I play really really slow searching every corner for easter eggs and loot. I didn't even met the T-800's so far which is the most fun enemy and having fun anyway. Just found that T-1000 easter egg. One of the best ever :) I hope this game grow, adding new stuff/missions via dlc's.

Wow, you must have been living under a rock, games "journalists" like IGN and Kotaku are a collection of intellectually deficient slacktivists who know next to nothing about games and who have a conflct of interests due to ads plastered all over their sites. Find a half decent youtuber for reasonably objective reviews.

I tend to look at gameplay videos and well thought out and elaborate Negative reviews... There are too many glowing reviews from paid places so they should be ignored. A well thought out negative review of a player with 10-20 hours on the game will give you a idea of the cons of a game and if they really are nothing like online cheaters or bad graphics then you want to look it if the gameplay is sound.. For this game it pretty much is. The graphics are dated making the game feel like fallout 3 with terminators that have dumb AI. I rarely game a single player game with good AI it's either too easy or headshots for everybody through objects.

There was a serious issue with shill reviews for Underworld Ascendant to boost sales and that game is one of the worst ones made.
