How to reliably get "Perfect" photos with the ingame camera?
I'm trying to get "Perfect"-rated photos with the goggle camera on targets like the HK Aerial and the HK Tank and others like Armoured Spiders, but even at maximum zoom all I get is "Good." Do I have to be a certain distance from targets to get the "Perfect" rating? Or is it something else?

It took me a while to notice, but to achieve a Perfect photo, the subject you're taking a picture of must be facing you. Like Bullett00th mentions above, often this requires you to show yourself to the enemy at the time.

Possibly the most difficult enemy to get even a good photo of is the Silverfish. You can't take a valid photo of them while they're fastened to the ground, only when they've popped out and are coming at you. To snap a Perfect photo, it needs to practically already be jumping at you :slimeamazed:

It's based on physical distance from the target afaik.

A bit of an awkward system because it downright asks you to be exposed to the target for a perfect photo

I've tried again and again to get a "Perfect" photo of the HK Tank in the Downtown Return mission, but no matter how close I get to the tank I only get a "Good" photo rating. The few times when I've gotten a "Perfect" photo rating appear to all be flukes. Maybe I have to be on the first floor of the nearby buildings to get that shot.

In one exception, the "Picture Perfect" mission where you have to take a "Perfect"-rated photo of a T-808, doesn't require a T-808 to be facing you to get that photo. I agree that getting even a good photo of a Silverfish is very difficult.

Okay, I did a little additional testing, and it turns out that to take a "Perfect"-rated photo of the HK Tank, you have do indeed have to be in front of the tank (more specifically, between the front side of the treads). That clears things up for me, thanks.

Excellent, glad to know that worked for you too! :CameraForWatch:
