Can a shotgun blast knockdown a T800?

I know that the kinetic weapons don't do damage, but I would have thought I could at least knock down or stagger a T800 with a point blank shotgun blast. We've seen this in the first terminator film and it is also mentioned in a note in this game.

When I tried to shoot a T-800 with the shotgun, it didn't even stagger.

Yes you can knock them down with the shotgun from what I remember, though you need to be pretty close.

Really? During my first encounter, a point blast shotgun blast did nothing. What difficulty are you playing on?

I was playing on Extreme and definitely did it, though I can't remember if it took more then one shot.

In my experience, the number of shotgun blasts needed to knock down a Terminator is inconsistent. Sometimes it takes only two, other times it takes four or even six. This is on Extreme difficulty and I have no idea what's behind this. It would be nice if Teyon made this more consistent.

I see. I'm playing on hard at the moment. So you can knock them down, you just can't do it Kyle Reese style.

A good shot gun blast to the face at close range will knock a t-800 down, and stun it for about one second. Then you have another second that it takes him to stand back up.
