Aerial HK are Blind
You can litterally stand in the open jumping and running with flash light on while one come straight to you and fly over your head they don't detect you...They get a glims for a tiny bar but just fly pass, Aerial HK should be a fearsome threat you usually hide from there view like Kyle Reese was doing in Terminator 1 since they are really dangerous.

The only time they detect you is if another terminator nearby detected you while they are near or you shot at them. I really hope the Dev decide to increase detection on Aerial HK so its easier for them to spot you and become actual threat as you go around the ruins you hide from them.

You have a great point there. It does need a bit of work.

Also, they don't seem to have a critical hit point like the other machines or did I miss something? It's neither the turbines nor the front (if you hit them with the rocket launcher).

They do notice you if you actually shoot at them. Even if it says "weapon ineffective", it notices getting shot, and chases you and tries to kill you. And if you're playing on Extreme Difficulty, it is VERY GOOD at killing you.

However, unless I've actually shot at an aerial HK, I've never had one notice me and attack me. Not even when nearby Terminators have detected me and are chasing me! As far as I can tell the Aerial HKs are purely decorative and do nothing.

Unless you have a rocket launcher, and can shoot one down for a load of experience points. In which case it then respawns and is replaced just one minute later. So if you buy a heat-seeking rocket launcher and a load of rockets, you can farm experience points by hunting Hunter Killers.

Also, hacked sentry turrets won't shoot at Aerial Hunter Killers, unless you shoot at a Hunter Killer and get it to chase you, then stand next to a sentry turret, and then when the Hunter Killer launches rockets at you, the explosions hit near enough to slightly damage the turret. Then the turret notices the enemy and starts shooting at it. And if it is a late game turret with violet plasma, it can damage and destroy the Hunter Killer! The two will fight each other, but the turret will always win. Takes ages though.

I believe the crit spot on them is inside the turbines vents where the orange glow is, that where i usually crit them with missile.

And i was talking about those Aerial HK that just patrol in cercle in Downtown, but honestly HK should always spot you if your in the open when it fly over you, so you would have to hide when one come by.
