Terminator: Resistance

Terminator: Resistance

Poor performance
Anyone else having a tough time with low frame rate and lagging etc? Any idea how to fix it?

Yeah quite a few people here have had issues with stuttering and hitches I am hoping this update Im downloading now is going to fix it..

It's an Unreal Engine 4 game, don't expect to be able to run the game if you don't meet minimal requirements which you almost certainly don't if you're playing on a laptop.

Ah right ok, I was sure half of my other games ran on that engine and all run perfectly on high settings I must of been mistaken...I will make sure I put that in my review that people with laptops needn't bother buying because they won't be able to run it...and no the update didn't get rid of the hitching.

The game is playable on laptop with low graphics. An Intel HD 4000 gets about 22 FPS, so unless you have a very old PC. ^^

So you believe the first person to come and refuse other opinions, okay. It is playable on a laptop. Watch on YouTube and you see.

For the sake of testing out to see if my 3+yrs old aging laptop can manage this game on ultra setting, I just bought it. Will post the update on later day. By the way, my aging laptop can runs Gear 5 only all ultra setting @1080p and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order on epic.

I find that hard to believe. I have a 2080Ti and I hit 60FPS in Gears 5 but NOT JDO. I have to lock it to 30FPS @ 4k

4K is the problem here. I mostly game @1080p and my laptop is running a pair of desktop class GTX1070 in SLI with i76700K. I have no problem @1080p.

Tried JFO on my desktop league with i7-9700K and RTX2070 Super, 4K epic is no go. 2K epic no problem at all. Have to admit that not many GPU is able to push a smooth frame rate at 4K epic setting at the moment.

You might want to try Control at 4K with Ray tracing at high. Your RTX2080ti will have a very tough time pushing a playable fps at all.

Another example is Metro Exodus. The game is designed with future hardware in mind.

By the way, Gear 5 is highly optimized game. Even Gear 4 i have not an issue with it on 1080p ultra. Finished Gear 5 on my laptop, will try again on my desktop league with 4K.

Please post your CPU, GRU, HDD, RAM specs...

That's the odd thing, my PC isn't old, i can manage Dark Souls 3 on max settings and Terminator's default recommended settings are all set to high. I've even tried the game on the lowest possible settings and it still runs like crap. It was playable the first 2 hours, then just lost it.

I was surprised, own a 1060 gtx 6gbyte and this game runs with stable 60fps on 1080p.
This game seems not very demanding, would like to know which hardware the op is using.
