Possible to grind for levels and gold? Do enemies/encounters scale?
I think that this is a yes on the former, but I'm unsure of the latter question.
I may be of an odd gamer pool here, but when I find a game whose combat I really enjoy, sometimes I just want to jump in, play a mission or a bit of a dungeon, whatever, and grind out a bit of XP and/or loot to feel like I'm coming back to it a bit stronger the next time.

It's my understanding that one is able to replay missions for additional XP and gold. Is that right? Will doing so put a player at a straight advantage moving forward, or do the enemies/encounters scale with the party's level?

Thanks all!

Replaying has an exp penalty. You grind xp by killing everything that comes at you after the time limit.
The gain is extra skills to choose from after lvl up, but that's it. You don't get gems, which is the real power source, and there is a skill cap of 10. High lvl skills are rather strong, though.

You can grind but it will be tedious. Enemies have a random chance to drop gold, I am guessing maybe 30 per mission if you are lucky, compare that to 150+ from completing a single bonus objective (that you can only do once per mission). So you can grind until you get all the gear, but it will be quite tedious, unless you just want to explore new strategies.

However, completing all the gold bonus objectives will be enough to kit out your characters - only once though. So if you want to test out other items, you might have to grind a few missions.

I'd say you get an advantage by not doing the bonus objectives and completely ignore them.
That way the missions become extremely trivial for the most part.

Then you get to the point where you get the additional character.

And then you head back and redo the missions with all the bonus objectives. Now they are a walk in the park.

Imho this is problematic though as you are basically ruining the game balance.
While the game suggest that you can just skip bonus objectives and come back later, and you can certainly do so...the balance will horribly break in these situations.
