Crashes and Graphical Issues

Hello everybody.

We're sorry to hear that the game is crashing for some people and we're looking into the logs (be sure to send those crash dumps!).

For now we can give one tip which has helped many of beta testers when they had trouble: update your graphics card drivers.

The easiest way to update your drivers is through steam itself. Hit "Steam" in the top-left menu and select "Check for Video Driver Updates".

If the game is still crashing, try manually updating your drivers. There is a guide on Steam on how to do this here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6416-EYDH-0477

This happens especially for people with Intel graphics drivers, here is a direct link to the intel driver website: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx?lang=eng

Disabling anti aliasing

For some users anti-aliasing or full screen are causing issues. You can disable them by manually editing the usersettings.cfg file. To find that file, right click ibb&obb in steam -> properties -> local files (tab) -> browse local files.

Disable the Steam overlay

If the game still crashes, disabling the steam overlay has helped as well. You can disable the overlay by right clicking on ibb&obb in your Library and selecting properties. Uncheck the box next to "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game".

Force your laptop to use your GeForce

Some computers (mainly laptops) have dual graphics cards such as an on-board Intel HD card and an NVidia GeForce graphics card. The game might be using the "wrong" graphics card, and forcing it to use the other one can fix issues.

1) open NVIDIA control panel
2) click "Manage 3D settings" in the left menu
3) select "Program Settings" tab in right screen
4) click "Add" button
5) select ibbobb.exe on your drive
6) select NVIDIA processor
7) click "Apply"

Weird fringe solutions that have worked for some users

If all else fails, here are some random solutions that people have reported as fixing problems for them. Maybe one of these can help you out?

Full screen and the task bar

There are currently issues with running the game in full screen. Sometimes the game width or height is larger than the screen, obscuring part of the gameplay. Other people have reported the task bar remaining on screen.

For now we advise to run the game in windowed mode if you experience these problems. You can also manually hide the task bar. We recognize that this is not a proper fix and are working on one.

Hello, Dev's. Thank you for the game I have found it to be a great couples game. I am having a bug, I cannot reset previous progress. I go to settings, and I see and click on the reset progress button, then select yes. Nothing happens. I select apply, Then the window loads for a sec, closes, reboots the game. Once launched again, its sill on older progress. I've uninstalled the game and checked for the intregritity of the games files and they are fine. Seems the issues is on dev side. Thank you for your efforts.

Ibb and Obb restart saved progress:
1) Disconnect from intent (offline mode may work but I didn't test it)
2) Remove the Ibb and Obb saves folder:
<Steam-folder>/userdata/<user-id>/95400/
3) Open the game
4) Select PLAY GAME when Steam - Warning unable to sync files appears
5) Load into first level, progress should be reset
6) Use menus to exit game normally
7) Go back online
8) Start game
...
9) Sync warning appears asking if you want to use cloud or local files, There is no going back from here choose local files

My major issue is that I can't run it at all! It is sold as working on MacOS, but it does not, at least not on Catalina 10.15.6. Could you please fix that?

Hi Dev Team! Recently purchased this game for a friend and I, we tried to play last night for the first time and it won't launch at all. I'm running Catalina 10.15.7. They're also on Catalina, though unsure of the version (positive it isn't Big Sur).
What can we do next? I see others are having the same issue. If it's not possible at all, can we contact Steam for refunds?

Hi Sinan, hi Bail, sorry about the slow response. I will look at this again as the game should no longer be listed as available for MacOS as since Apple made it a requirement for apps to be 64 bit the game will no longer work. We will at some point be able to fix this, but it will take a while and currently all progress is very slow.

Please ask Steam for a refund. And then send me an email at [e-mail] so I can give you a key for the game. That way you can try it at a later date to see if it got fixed.

Hello Richard, I am not able to play ibb and obb because Malwarebytes is detecting a virus at D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ibbandobb\ibbobb.exe. However, I only see D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ibbandobb\ibbobb.bat and D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ibbandobb\ibbobb.vbs in the folder itself. The full virus report is below:

Controls are extremely unreliable for keyboard. Button inputs getting stuck on so the character keeps running or jumps simply not registering. This would be ok if the game didn't occasionally require a ludicrous level of pinpoint accuracy, on par with a meatboy game.

Many thanks Works on Linux if that file is edited and the game is then launched from Steam (not from the command line).

Hi, I am trying to install the game but whenever i press the download button i get the error "Content still encrypted" is anyone else having this issue? if so has anyone found a way to fix it? I looked online but none of the solutions for other games worked.
