Can someone explain what the crystals do? I put a bunch into the machine and it says "Generator +1" What does that mean? Why is the progression so difficult to understand? Its a real shame because mechanically the game is very good. I play tons of roguelites and this has the oddest and most difficult progression I have seen....

The term roguelike as a genre refers to games similar in large capacity to a game called Rogue. The game in question is a turn based, tile based RPG dungeon crawler with permadeath and procedural generation. This merely has procedural generation and some psuedo-permadeath based metaprogression.
