Is it playable / does it make sense to play it WITHOUT any VR gear???

I have no VR headset or whatsoever. But I was interessted to learn more about the Apollo 11 mission.

Is it playable with mouse and keyboard? How much will the experience suffer to play this on a normal PC monitor?

It is an incredible experience even without VR, well worth it!! :)

Bought it this morning,. I do not have any VR hardware either. I purchased the Apollo 11 VR and Apollo 11 VR HD bundle on Steam. I purchased this because someone had mentioned to select "LAUNCH ON MONITOR" option. I started both games, and I do not see LAUNCH ON MONITOR option as an option in EITHER game. My screen just stays still for everything (I selected start by pressing spacebar for keyboard) and I have no mouse control at all.
HOW do I select LAUNCH ON MONITOR when there is no option for that?

FOund it. FOr anyone else: this is thoroughyl enjoyable without VR apparatus. IN games list within steam menu, right click on apollo 11 VR HD, select launch on monitor. Your mouse now functions as it should and you can look around.
