Killing Gwayne after doing aerial battle with Buné doesn't trigger...

I read that I should get a dialogue that says Gwayne has destroyed Tiny Village after I defeated Buné's fake form. I only get the red coral one. Did I forget to listen to the Minstrel's old song about the Matriarch and Dora before i killed the Buné phantom?

And did Imiss out on another dragon scale because of this?

You have to chat with a bartender in Pidona or Vanguard to trigger Gwayne's rampage.

Yes, there may be even more taverns, but Pidona bartender should do it. You do not need to hear Minstrel's song about Dora to make this happen.

However -- and this is important -- the achievement with the description "defeat Buné & Gwayne" (Ruler of the Open Skies) is totally incorrect. If you are after that achievement, the idea there is to defeat Buné WITH Gwayne ... it's an alternate method for taking her out ... and arguably much easier. :)

Also, defeating Buné with Gwayne doen't give you the normal Defeated Buné achievement.

Lucky for me I don't really care about achivements. And the bartender in Pidona just mentions the red coral. I talked to the one in Vanguard aswell.

Also, do I need Herman for the Coral quest? Nora's stuck in the workshop, though.

Yeah, Herman is mandatory, Nora is not. Direct answer in the spoiler.You have to bring Herman to the divine order place in Pidona

Also I think you can kill Gwayne at anytime as long as you have Mt. Louv unlocked, you would just miss out on some story.
