Translation Mistake?

Hi there,
I'm just playing through the game for the first time, and I'm keeping an eye out for oddities in the translation. I found one that might be worth talking about. Since this is a snippet of the story I am going to put everything behind spoilers. I believe this occurs in Chapter 4, "Main Control."

"..throw myself" is not really a coherent phrase in English. I wonder if it might be an idiom that is not carrying over, or perhaps just problematic verb choice. Hard to say more that could be helpful without knowing what the intended meaning was, exactly. One guess: "I will not throw myself (out into space)" ? Even "throw myself out" would be a bit odd-sounding. Perhaps: "I will not eject myself (into space, the way Drill did)" ? "I will not eject myself" would sound clearer than "I will not throw myself," I think.

Indeed, the idea is that the character tries to avoid the temptation to jump into space and says so in a colloquial way.

Is it correct "I won't jump overboard" or "I won't throw myself overboard"?

Both "jump overboard" and "throw myself overboard" could work, although "overboard" might slightly suggest a scene on a boat rather than a spaceship. "I won't jump" could maybe work on its own. Or maybe "I won't throw myself out" -- the more I think about it, the less weird this last one sounds.
