How is this game now ? Will there be a standalone ?
So I haven´t played this game for a few months now and I guess that the player base is almost dead, but I would like to ask if anybody knows if the devs plan anything in near future for this game ?
I liked this game a lot when I played it until you got the same people in your games over and over again because of the few players left...

I heard somewhere that there could be a Standalone of this game, is that true ?

Game isn't going to be getting anymore updates and there will be no standalone version.
Well, Capcom aggressively told us that this game is a package with RE3.

I would not be surprised if it got bundled for free with some other RE game in the future though.

Man that is really sad :(
I really enjoyed this game and I think it is a nice game idea with lots of potential...
I don´t even understand why the game had so few players, but probably because it was just a sidegame of RE3. I actually liked this game a lot more than the main game xD
I hope there will be a similar game in the future.

You can still go back to the game. Survivors games are usually found with 2 minutes, if not - restarting the matchmaking solves the proble.
As for the future of the game, the director has recently said they're not working at the game at the moment, but woild love to revisit it one day (if such opportunity happens). Also in the leaked file from the hacker's attack there was nothing new on Resistance.

Ok, thanks for your information

Standalone rumors stem from those leaks actually. 1 of them said that Resistance would be temporarily free on Black Friday and then permanently free from March, so far the temporarily free portion ended up being the Free Weekend on December (later than mentioned, but it still happened). This may have been planned when Village was intended to have a March release iirc.
Another leak implied that while RE:verse will initially be paired with Village, it will then instead be paired with Resistance, probably as a RE Multiplayer Package (this maybe on October). This is also likely since if you visit the RE:verse page you'll notice they mention how the game may not always be available through purchasing Village.

These are the 2 hopes I have for the future of this game currently, hopefully won't have to wait till October for something to boost the playerbase. Currently let's see what happens this month, the 25th Anniversary is on the 22nd, and if something happens when Village comes out.

I'll admit I haven't read ALL leaked files as there are too many of them, but the ones I have looked at including schedule files had nothing on Resistance, only on RE:VERSE.
As for another leak you mentioned it's a speculation from DuskGolem who has almost no credibilty for me. Pairing completely 2 different games that were already paired with other games is something I have a hard time believing.
As for RE:VERSE - I noticed the note about availability too, maybe they will make it free to play later or since they plan to tie it in with Revelations 3, the latter might include it too.
Making Resistance free would mean having to reduce RE3 price which is a no-no to Capcom.

Strangely i have seen REverse as stand alone offering listed in stores. This can of course be an error and there is currently no price on it. But i didn't see this happen with Resistance.
And Capom itself states:
Please note that, depending on the timing of your purchase of Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil Re:Verse may already no longer be available, and/or the title may become available through other means in the future.

The smartest move i could imagine would be to throw the development of both resistance and Reverse together. So that one team is responsible. But i am really careful here knowing how little Capcom cares.

Neobards are already responsible for both games.

Yes but the Resistance team has been disbanded. There is no development on Resistance.

I didn't base this on what Dusk said, it was a picture that I saw on twitter and it looked to come from the capcom leaks, most likely. A known PS4 Nicholai player posted it as a reply to Al Yang's tweet: https://twitter.com/Osman9412/status/1357728202463072260?s=20.

It was Dusk though who clarified that Project Highway was the codename Resistance had.

Which doesn't make sense as Highway is mentioned in the context of Revelations 3 and RE:VERSE in the leaked files. Also in old files from 2018 while RE3R is often called by its code name ESCAPE, Resistance is NOT called "highway".
The picture in question does come from the leak, however please read the translation:
From September’s document:
September 2020: announcement of Resident Evil 25th Anniversary RE:VERSE
December 2020: Closed beta test
March 2021: Release date
April 2021-September 2021: monthly updates(VILLAGE)
October 2021 – April 2022: monthly updates(Highway)
September 2021: Highway announcement.

In the hack in Outrage folder there's a file called "ハ゛イオハサ゛ート゛リヘ゛レーションス゛3(highway)_スカイ・エー_契約書_開発_3Dスキャン実演04.pdf" (Biohazard Revelations 3 (Highway). There were also mentions of tying in RE:VERSE with Revelations 3. Highway could be a code name specifically for Revelations 3-related updates for the 25th anniversary online game. Or Revelations 3 has 2 codenames: Outrage and Highway, which is I admit a little bit weird.
It looks to me like they will add Village characters first and then Revelations 3 characters. Resistance just doesn't fit into all of that.

Neobards already abandoned this project. That is why the game is so broken! Time to move on.

They only stopped working on it because Capcom told them to do so. They are contracted workers.

Interesting, how was it called there? So basically Highway may not be Resistance after all. I don't know, time will tell.
I found the leaked image again that predicted the Free Weekend, which also claims it'll be free from March. https://blob.keylol.com/forum/202011/20/131826tw7xn5fw90ww6nnl.png
