Online mode is active.
Nope. DEAD. I tryed to get in a game sitting in que for 25 mins and nothing 1 person joined then left after 2 mins. I just booted up another game. Sad because the only people that still play when you eventually get into a game are a 4 Q of cheating INF ammo noob survivors???
Its alive when you que in as random.
Capcom sale, so that time of the year again to see if I can convince others to get the game and revive servers lol
in all fairness though, if this game doesn't have private match I ain't playing. The only people left on this are bound to be no-lifes
He's right it only no lifer cheaters always Q together in same group. I stopped playing this game in jan 24 because of these idiots.
I've only played online mode (non-custom matches) since getting the game in a bundle in the last sale, and I have close to 90 hours now. Going off of steamdb.info, there appears to be 3-6 matches going on at any given time.
Glad to say; manage to find full groups of legit players in a very reasonable waiting time. ( around 5-7 minutes) as of April 9th.
Only hick-ups was when placed with bad connection to the Host, but happened only like 10% of the match-making, super fun game,
Capcom really did a huge mistake of missing on it, especially when DBD and Outlast Trials were comparatively successful. Instead they went to make that Co-op dinosaur in future thing. (still wanna try it though).
But yeah I remember when I tried this gem back years ago, was literally filled with cheaters, almost as if someone was trying to boycott it in angry way, ex-capcom employees? Hmm.

Judging by the numbers on steamdb.info, Exoprimal seems more dead than Resident Evil Resistance. At time of writing, there are only 10 players in game with the 24-hour peak being 15 players versus 15 players in game with a 24-hour peak of 36 players for Resident Evil Resistance.
That's interesting since Exoprimal released in 2023 and they had anti-cheat (and perhaps dedicated servers, though not sure on that one).

Barely alive, player count might peak at 40 during certain hours on the weekend but you also have players that are just pure cancer that will ruin the game (cheaters/hackers).
I would legit right now play the game on PSN if it didn't cost money to play online, I hear it's way more active on console.
Well ironically, it's faster to Queue in Quick Match in Resistance, compared to Chainsaw Massacre :marten_sip:
And it's a time-sensitive issue, noticed a lot play at around 3AM East A. etc.

Yeah probably all that, Dedicated Servers and Anti-Cheat, and Cross-Play too between consoles and PCs... SMH and nothing for Resistance :TEW2BRAIN::steamsalty:

Just a question about survivability of this game if Capcom declares end of support. Does quick play matchmaking rely on a server managed by Capcom? Do custom matches rely on a server as well? Do daily and weekly missions rely on a server? Do the skills shop and cosmetics shops rely on a server? If Capcom ends support (I suppose it may be that case that there is no support already?), will we be able to play only custom matches but have no progression of purchaseable skills?

All good questions and I think it would be similar to ReVerse if that would happend, but I think Resistance is kept from the "Guillotine" mainly due Playstation being more alive etc., since it's probably on the same "budget" papers as PC version etc.
But yeah, only an official Capcom insider could tell for sure. :d20dice:
