i recall trying to play a few months back, not many players and any game i did find resulted in everyone disconnecting so i couldnt get a proper game in. Kinda sad cause i atleast wanted to try abit of this game since re3 was so short.

Depends on what you mean by alive, there is really no place for new players anymore.

It feels like solo q is unplayable in 70% of the matches

There are 4 premade teams in NA-ish region that play in the evening and they will stomp on anyone new

40-70 concurrents players, it's pretty much dead unfortunately. Mostly hardcore fans left at this point. Extremely high chances of laggy matches and people leaving/disconnecting, a lot of people using overpowered mastermind builds. I'm constantly on the verge of quitting myself, but then every once in a while a playable and/or fun match occurs and I continue.

If you play for fun, you'll have a lot better of a time. I've recently gotten back into the game more and can say it's like night and day when you don't take resistance seriously anymore. I play with friends sometimes, I solo que, I MM sometimes, Mostly just chill out play. Meme build from time to time. I tried speed Sam last night for lolz and humiliated myself lmao. Not as good as back when I would play 5 - 7 hours a night and sweat my ass off, but who cares. Were all just here to have fun in a game we cherish.

I will say solo que actively makes me laugh so hard and have fun now too. Here's a long list of various funny things to watch and bring some more fun / positivity to your matches.

- Mup only survivor still using it all the way up to area 3.
- Torch January / Melee Becca.
- Tyrone / Sam that won't buy a gun the entire match against a Nicholai.
- Rank 100+ Tyrone wearing gold that still gets lost in maps.
- Valerie's trying to open a level 3 door while a barge Tyrone is next to her.
- People throwing flash bangs at Yatevo. A bio weapon that doesn't have eyes.
- Instant escape hack survivors that manage to win the game in area 1.
- Survivors in the animal skins that have a dance party.
- Someone running into a trap 2 other people just stopped, backed away from and aimed at.
- Everyone matching skins like Gold / Silver / Luchador / Etc.
- Nemesis chase other survivors while ignoring the one with security card, usb 3 and baton.
- Mr.X chase other survivors while ignoring the one with security card, usb 3 and baton.
- Birkin chase other survivors while ignoring the one with security card, usb 3 and baton.
- Survivor steps on a lockdown trap to the right at the spawn of abandoned park area 1 because that spot has been used since basically week 2 of launch and every veteran Survivor / MM should should know it.
- Running past the most common key spot in Downtown area 1, only to have to circle back.
- Survivors and MM spray painting walls together to make funny pictures.
- Daniel with 4 creature control mod dancing.
- Drawing on the walls with bullets.
- Breaking a door 3 - 5 times due to connection issue before being able to enter the room.
- When 3 / 4 survivors all throw a grenade at a Birkin grab.
- When Tyrone just stands there, a bio weapon walks up to him, and he kicks it like they didn't see it coming.
- January that ran out of ammo.
- That 1 survivor that stands an inch from the exit and dances.
- When you almost die because you bumped a skill that animation locks your character.
- When survivors are at the exit and MM Spawns bio weapon as the transition starts. ( This is mean to laugh at but I'm sorry, it's 😂to me. )
- Solo Jill gets downed. May or may not disconnect after.
- Nemesis and Jill / Becca have a rocket launcher stand off.
- When gonna X give it to ya.
- When Sam 360 no scope dash punches a creature on the floor.
- When Survivors try to kill Yatevo with melee weapons.
- When that Ivy you just shotgunned 3 times in the face still grabs you and you go down.
- When Endurance Daniel and Endurance Sam 1 v 1.
- When everyone Spams "What" emote in sync at something absurd that just happened.

So it's been around 50 minutes and you still have not find a match ? I guess it's hard with such a low playerbase, unlike DBD since they have over 180 times more players than RE resistance, well no wonder, I mean who want to play a game so bad that Capcom abandonned it ? I have had a couple of test runs with practice mode, yet others are playing but also reporting hackers, I suppose if i was to play for real it would only be on a private room. but seeing as most of my friends abandoned the game, guess I am going to leave this on the shelf till new players arrive or my friends return. But really want to play and give it a go.

Custom match with friends and made rules are what made the game very fun, with certain rules you could really get an RE game feel or even make your own mercenaries mode.

There's not A LOT of hacking going on, lag is a much more serious issue. Anyway, you can team up with other players if you really want to try it, there's a special group chat on Steam for that purpose as well.

No there is no card like that, but I think you can preset them, from my memory the card cost 3, if you have Annette and you build her to have -2 cost for monsters they cost 1 point so you could have 5 of them like this very very early, if it's Spencer then with a mod card they cost 2 and you could put like 1-2 of them very early. If on the preset map they cost 3 then you can place 3 of them on a map that have 10 points and 5 on a map that have 15 points, but I think on the preset map they cost 4 but I could be wrong (again from my memory).

If you could record the match that would help and if you could tell me how much they cost in the preset map, and the MM you have encountered. Otherwise it's possible to have 5 supply zombies at the very start depending of the conditions.
