Sounds and low fps

Since patch if i use the shotgun rapidly, the game cut sounds and i get extreme low fps :( help

Try lowering down to 60fps. As of right now, it's unstable with variable framerate.

in general this game runs like a trashfire, drop all the settings and enjoy better gameplay. The graphics quality isn't that amazing anyway.

lowering graphics settings doesn’t really help with this issue, i have 200FPS with lowest settings but i still get this weird sound bug and often with it also FPS drops from 200 to like 50 and then it just gets worse til my game crashes. Some people have trash PC compared to mine and a lot of them apparently never had this issue before, its so weird

I've been using shotgun much much more lately, what OP said probably makes sense. I start getting frame drops to 15-20 FPS and having half of the sound cut out in a match usually halfway through area 2, and about halfway is when I start blasting zombies with much more impunity....

Edit: This is only a thing that's been happening in the last week or so, so this makes a lot of sense for me

I been having the same problem I think it's a memory leak issue whenever you use a shotgun it cuts off the audio and spikes the vram up to max which lowers the FPS.

I've been experiencing this issue since the latest update, and THIS IS SO ANNOYING. I low everything, close every app, and sometimes it goes down like 25fps. Why can't I play unlimited fps on my 144Hz monitor...

i resolved this issues by capping the frames at 60fps, so instead of the "variable" option you just choose 60fps and i also lowered all the graphics settings. now i have no fps issues at all

Yup. That's the only way to fix it by dropping down to 60fps. As of right now, the game was poorly coded and the devs cannot figure out bug issue with variable framerate.
