Thoughts on first Yhilin visit
Playing through for the second time, this time with reference to various guides. There's nothing bad here, just a couple of things that feel a little odd or choices I'd like to have available. I'm not expecting any changes to long-completed content, this is just a little feedback for your next game.

- the difference between the best and cheapest mercenaries is very small (In my first playthrough I hired both the cheap and expensive ones - I'd picked up on the hints that the cheaper had a good attitude and might grow into something better, so paid the substantial premium to pair them up with the best so they could learn from them; in hindsight a waste of ProN. The middle group always felt like a trap - I have orcs for expendable warm body problems).
- Skipping mercenaries altogether is surprisingly strong. This allows four strong investments (once I get past the ewwww of using a particular negotiation approach at the bank), precisely consumes all available ProN, still allows later hiring and doesn't seem to have serious negative consequences.
- I expected some synergy between the Premium Steel and mercenary investments (due to the mercs spending some of their fee on gear and/or being cut a deal on doing so).
- I wish I could use Sx for some investments. Although shopkeepers obviously have a way to turn Sx into ProN I understand why it's not permitted in general to the player (even 5k extra early ProN would allow otherwise impossible combinations and compounding returns) but there are a couple where use of ordinary money would be appropriate and wouldn't have cascading effects (eg. The cache expedition, especially after it's return).
- I would have liked to split the party for the subsequent battle, backing up the mercenaries and soldiers assigned to the mass battle with at least one healer (and area spells too).
