I have spent ages trying to think of a good Star Wars reference name for the C96 but haven't been able to think of anything good. I'm glad I'm not the only one trying to put a DL-44 homage in there.
EDIT: After a while of thinking the best I can do for the C96 is calling it the B44 (B as a reference to "broomhandle" the gun's irl nickname and 44 as a reference to Han Solo's model DL-44 heavy blaster pistol, since the prop was a C96 with some cosmetic enhancements. It also keeps the one-letter-two-numbers naming scheme from the actual C96) Maybe add something simple like "Semi-Auto" to the end just to have something more than B44 and keep the game's trend of weapon names being straightforward descriptions of what they are. I dunno, it's pretty simple and not that creative, but I think B44 Semi-Auto has a nice ring to it.
I don't really have an opinion for the Lewis, but I think the Lee Enfield should either be "The Captain's Rifle" because it looks fancy and kind of seems like something he would use or something along the lines of "Imperial Rifle" because it also looks like something that the government would officially use. Also, if by some chance the Imperial Rifle gets chosen I'm going to go ahead and say now that it wasn't my idea, somebody else commented it first and I was just restating it here because I really liked the way it sounded (so don't credit me for that obviously).
